Absolutely. You don’t need to be flexible to start and once you start we’ll help you build your flexibility, and not just physically - emotionally and mentally too!
I’m new to yoga - which class is for beginners?
All of our classes are beginner friendly and welcome to all levels. Each class has a different intensity level (see activation icon for description below). Choose your classes based on intensity. ⚡For low intensity and deep relaxation choose Sweet Restore ⚡⚡For low intensity with steady activation, choose Grounded. ⚡⚡⚡For medium intensity choose Body Feels l and Body Love ⚡⚡⚡⚡For a high intensity choose Body Feels ll and Body Flex ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡ For high intensity strength using weights and resistance choose Body Strong
What time should I arrive for class?
Arrive early, 10-15 before class to get settled and grounded on your mat. If you’re new to the studio make sure to let your instructor know when you arrive.
What should I wear?
Wear clothes that are comfortable to move in. You’ll remove your shoes prior to entering the studio floor, you may wear socks to begin class however we highly suggest you remove socks once we get moving.
What should I eat before class?
If you need to eat right before class please eat something light and sustaining - a granola bar, smoothie, fruit, parfait, licuado, etc. Stay hydrated and bring your water bottle.
What should I bring?
Bring a refillable water bottle and mat. If you don’t have a mat you’re welcome to use our shared mats for free. If you sweat a lot please bring your own hand towel and wipe your sweat off.
Do you have prenatal yoga?
We do not offer prenatal yoga classes but invite pregnant people to attend our regular scheduled classes and make any necessary adjustments and modifications. Generally speaking, if you had a regular yoga practice before your pregnancy, it's safe and healthy to continue. If you want a prenatal recommendation, please email us and we’ll send you to our favorite prenatal teachers and studios.
Where do I put my personal belongings during class?
Cubbies are available in the front area of the studio.

TEACHER TRAINING
How many years of experience do I need to take this teacher training?
Whether you have one month or one year of experience it comes down to your intention and desire. If you are excited and eager to put your time, effort and energy into developing your personal practice, learning a wealth of knowledge and applying your new skills, you’re ready no matter how many years of experience you have.
Can I miss any classes?
To receive your certificate of completion you must attend 100% of the classes or make up any missed sessions to comply with the Yoga Alliance requirements.
How do I make up for missed classes?
Missed classes may be made up with one-on-one or small private group sessions for an additional cost
Are you a Yoga Alliance Registered School?
Yes! We are a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance. Graduates of People’s Yoga training program will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance at the 200-Hour level, which is the minimum requirement for studios and gyms hiring yoga instructors.
What style of yoga is taught?
Hatha Yoga
Are books and materials included in the price of the training?
The costs of books and equipment are not included in the tuition. You will be expected to purchase or borrow a small selection of books.
When will I find out if I have been accepted into the program?
Once you submit your application you will receive an email update within 2 weeks.
Will I be able to teach after completing Teacher Training?
Yes. By successfully completing all of the requirements you will receive your certificate of completion at the 200-Hour Level.
Unfortunately we do not have scholarships available at this time.
How many students are enrolled in each training?
People’s Yoga School enrolls a maximum of 16 students.
